Yellowhammer Models decal set 32-04 is a little different from its cousins in that it provides markings for two F-4J Phantoms instead of the normal one.

The markings provided are for aircraft of two entirely different colour schemes at the opposite ends of the spectrum from one another. The first aircraft being in a colour scheme devised to be inconspicuous whilst the other is in a real "in your face" finish.

As with all Yellowhammer 1/32 scale F-4 decal sets you are provided with two normal sized sheets. The printing on both sheets are a joy to behold with the designs being in-register and thinly printed with the barest minimum of carrier film.

The aircraft depicted are the famous overall gloss black 153783 F-4J Black Bunny of VX-4 and the Ferris Scheme 153789 F-4J of VF-194 Red Lightings.

The instruction sheet is very detailed and advises the modeller that the Black Bunny markings appeared on two different aircraft and in a variety of different combinations. The markings provided on this sheet are for the gloss black aircraft when it was marked with the white numeral 1 on the nose. Also provided are the blue markings, edged in gold, with white stars that graced the tops and bottoms of the wings and the top of the fuselage. You also get the national insignia and the more important stencil data.

The markings for the VF-194 aircraft are provided in lo-viz grey and black. The lo-viz grey markings consist of the national insignia, bureau numbers, Navy scripts, squadron titles and a complete multi piece false canopy for the underside. The black markings are confined to the stencil type stylized NL Airwing designator with a lightning bolt running through it and the modex 212 numbers.

All in all a nice decal set that I am sure will grace quite a few of the 1/32 F-4J kits from Tamiya.

Thanks to Meteor Productions for the review sample.
