Red Roo Models latest decal release covers one Lockheed PV-1 Ventura, A59-75, of 13 Squadron RAAF. The small 1/72 scale sheet supplies all national markings, codes, serials and a rudder number. The subject aircraft is finished in standard USN three colour scheme. Even the RAAF roundels are simple modifications of the US Stars and Bars in four positions, with the bars still in place. The codes are grey, with the letters on the starboard side thinly outlined in black. The sheet is well printed and in register. Two A4-sized instruction sheets are included. A half a page is dedicated to decal application instructions, another half to the history of the Ventura in RAAF service and a full page to the background and colours of the subject aircraft. The second sheet features both side views of the sibject in colour, leaving no question about the placement of fuselage markings. No plan view drawings are provided for wing markings. This decal release builds on Red Roo's tradition of highly detailed examination of RAAF subjects through their books and other products. Recommended for all RAAF afficiandos and 1/72 scale modellers in general.
