"Part" from Poland have produced a range of brass-etched accessories to address these problem areas and to supply a number of accessories to enhance 1/72 scale aircraft models.
S72-119 Accessories for Su-22 This set is designed for the Italeri / Pantera Su-22. It supplies a wheeled cage as an intake guard and a separate exhaust guard. The trolley will certainly add a unique dimension to your Italeri 1/72 scale Fitter! Recommended
S72-126 Canopy Frames P-40N-1....N-40 A brass replacement frame is supplied for an unspecified 1/72 scale P-40N kit. Although designated as applicable to the P-40N-1, this late style of canopy frame was only introduced from the P-40N-5 block onward. Inner and outer frames for the sliding canopy and rear clear section are provided. The windscreen is a simple one-piece frame. No acetate is included, but templates for cutting the clear parts are supplied. You will need to find some very thin material to maintain the shape upon assembly. This is likely to be a tricky assembly job, but will be impressive if it comes off! Recommended for experienced modellers only.
S72-136 I-16 Type 24. This detail set is designed for ICM's I-16. A good range of usable parts are supplied to replace overscale plastic components. These include complete replacements for gear doors, front engine cover and cooling vents, cockpit sidewall and floor detail, harness, and brass/acetate instrument panel. This set will make a great improvement to ICM's little Polikarpov. Recommended.
