One of the latest releases from 'Sky' Models covers 1/48 scale P-47
Thunderbolts..
This
decal set covers 20 (yes twenty) different P-47s, both
'Razorback' and 'Bubble Top' canopy aircraft from the Pacific and
European theatres. Nearly all of the subject aircraft have some form of
noseart, and all the artwork for those aircraft is very well done.
Making a choice of which aircraft to model will be a serious challenge!
The decals come supplied in a ziplock bag with one sheet of decals
plus instructions in the form of black and white artwork. The artwork
gives painting instructions for each aircraft, with a nice touch being a
chart on the last page giving FS 595 B references as well as colour
matches to Humbrol, Molak, Tamiya, Gunze and Model Master paints.
Reference sources are also given.
The decals are printed by 'Cartograf' of Italy, and have excellent
register and colour density. Sufficient stencils, national markings and
propeller stencils are also supplied to cover one aircraft. Take extra
care when cutting out the decals for your favourite subject. Due to the
sheer bulk of aircraft on the sheet, the markings are very closely
grouped and a slight slip with the razor knife could damage another
choice on the sheet.

The choice of so many aircraft on the one sheet makes this
a 'must have' for all the P-47 Thunderbolt fans out there. This selection makes
the 4 or 5 aircraft offered on other decal sheets pale into insignificance.
Highly Recommended.
