Conversions don't come any simpler than this.
Obscureco Aircraft's PBJ-1D/1J is destined for
Italeri's 1/72 scale Mitchell kits. Marine Corps PBJ-1D and 1J Mitchells were
often seen with a field-modified radar nose such as the one supplied in this
conversion set.
The one-piece resin nose is perfectly cast and
is a simple, direct replacement for the transparent nose in the 1/72 scale
Italeri kit.
Obscureco's instructions suggest that
modellers find photo-reference for their modelling subject as many individual
variations existed. Jerry Scutts' "Marine Mitchells in World War II"
is put forward as the best reference on the subject.
Obscureco Aircraft's 1/72 scale Marine
Mitchell Radar Nose will be a very simple way to give your B-25 a unique look,
and provides an excellent excuse not to mask-off that complicated nose for
airbrushing!
Recommended.
