These resin
replacement exhausts represent an improvement over the kit parts. The casting is
perfect and the stacks are individually drilled out.
The exhausts for the Ju 87B are also
suitable for the Ju 87R variant. These exhausts (pictured at the top of the
page) are each cast with five full stacks and a half stack at the front to clear
the shroud on the cowling. The exhausts for the Ju 87D/G have six full stacks
each.
Each exhaust is attached to its
individual casting block via a thin strip of resin. This will be very simple to
remove with a few swipes of a scriber or a hobby knife.
These
two new releases are well up to Ultracast’s high standards.
They are a couple of very simple accessories that will
improve your Hasegawa Stuka, regardless of whether you are building a Ju 87B, R,
D or G.
Reviewing these exhausts got me to
thinking about how long it might be before we see some flame-damper exhausts for
the Stuka from Ultracast too. And while I am on that subject, there would be
some great potential for Bf 110 flame-dampers and exhausts, including the
alternative late-war "straight" style dampers. We live in hope!
Recommended for anyone building a Hasegawa Stuka.
