Here is an extract from Meteor Productions' announcement::

"Wečre proud to announce that next week (the first week of January 2002) we will begin shipping two versions of our super detailed cockpit set for the gorgeous new Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109G-6 kit!

We have fully photographed and measured the cockpit of the superbly restored Bf 109G-6 at the US National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC, and have used the full set of Luftwaffe technical manuals on the G-6, as well as dozens of contemporary photos of G-6 cockpits in actual Luftwaffe combat use to fully and accurately detail our super set.

The set is, of course, up to our usual world-beating standards of accuracy, patternmaking by master artist Scott Battistoni, and casting (in our strong gray resin‹of course!) and will let you turn your kit into a contest winner! The set contains an accurate G-6 instrument panel with acetate instruments (you may know the NASM aircraft received a G-2/G-4 instrument panel sometime before it was captured, and does not have the seat back armor plating), as well as cockpit parts applicable to the /Trop version. By the way, watch for a bunch of new 1/32 decals for the G-6 coming in the next few weeks.

The set is available in two variants:

CEC32083 Bf 109G-6 Super Detailed Cockpit with molded on seatbelts $21.99
and
CEC32090 Bf 109G-6 Super Detailed Cockpit with posable seatbelts $24.99

The difference is obviously in how the seatbelts are portrayed. Many modelers prefer to have the seatbelts finely cast in place, while many prefer to add separate seatbelts. Wečre taking the modelmaking art to new levels by providing, in CEC32090, posable seatbelts‹just wait until you see them!

Both sets include full, accurate detail per our photos and the Luftwaffe technical documentation. They even include separate oxygen hoses!

Watch our web site, www.meteorprod.com , for lots more new and exciting products for Luftwaffe and other subjects."
