The modelling community seems to have recently divided into two distinct camps. One group is bothered by the somewhat inaccurate engine cowls and windscreen on the Accurate Miniatures beautiful 1/48 scale B-25B; and the other group is not. If you belong to the group that wants a totally accurate Mitchell, then Cutting Edge's new 1/48 scale Corrected Cowls is a simple remedy. The cowls certainly pass the test of accuracy, are well up the high standards demonstrated by this company and are a simple one-piece replacement for the kit cowls. The only complication will be the removal of the resin waste that rings the rear of the cowl. Careful work with a razor saw and a sanding stick will be required to retain a perfectly flat base to the cowling. Recommended to anyone who wants to correct Accurate Miniatures' B-25 cowls.
