Firestorm Models is a new Australian Company producing resin figures and
accessories plus plaster buildings for the diorama builder.
One
of their recent releases is of an Australian Tank Crew. The set contains
three half-figures cast is light grey/green resin. The quality of the
casting and uniform detail is the equal of any resin figures produced
today.
The driver figure is a single casting of the upper torso only while the
two turret figures have the torso from mid thigh and have separate arms.
The commander's head wears a beret cast with the body while the other
crew member has a separate head wearing a typical Aussie bush hat.
While the figures fit perfectly into the Tamiya Matilda, they could just
as easily be seen in a Honey or captured Italian tank in the desert or
in the Pacific campaign.
Recommended for any builder of Aussie armour.
