Cutting Edge's new A-4 Skyhawk cockpit lives up to its claim of "SuperDetailed". However, it does not subject the modeller to complex construction. This cockpit upgrade comprises only five parts in Cutting Edge's familiar grey resin, and a small acetate sheet with instruments printed in black over clear. Hasegawa has supplied a nice cockpit floor unit with detailed side consoles in their Skyhawk kit. The interior fuselage sides feature very nice quilted texture. Cutting Edge have resisted the temptation to simply duplicate these items, instead focusing on the areas that will benefit from further improvement. These parts are the rear bulkhead, the canopy hinge base, the seat and instrument panel. The rear bulkhead and canopy hinge base are much better detailed than the kit parts. The instrument panel will look great with the acetate instruments backing the front resin panel. I find this method of depicting instruments saves me time and looks better. The seat looks fabulous with its cast-on harness and intricate detail. Parts removal and cleanup will be a breeze, and the only modification to the kit is the removal of a small bump on the base of the seat. This is another simple but worthwhile accessory for your Hasegawa Scooter. Highly Recommended.
